Nice and cosy guest house . Had top floor front double room. Beautiful sea view. The host was welcoming. Nice cooked breakfast ( self service) On the downside there was no leaflet in room on how to use free WiFi, breakfast menu and times from and til . I was a single occupancy where as next door to me was a couple unfortunately I didn't get much sleep due to them talking loud . Apart from that , it was a nice guest house
Great find - Clean rooms, lovely bedding. Close to Dreamlands. Jim was a great host could have chatted all day with him. Lovely breakfast with everything you need.15 minute walk to station
The location is very near to the main town center and a quick walk would get one in to town in about 10 minutes. The host Jim was very courteous and helpful. Our stay was made very comfortable and homely. Jim was available for any queries and even helped us with a drop to Botany Bay when we were checking out of the accommodation. His conversation with other guests around the dining area made it very clear that he values his guests and would go out of the way to help them any way he can. The facilities were clean and homely and the breakfast was enjoyable with options of a full English or continental style at an affordable rate. Overall even though it was for one day, our trip was very comfortable and pleasant. If we are travelling to Margate next time, Jim will be the first one to get our call for accommodation. A very family friendly home away from home and highly recommended.
Lovely place to stay I had one night here ! Very very friendly staff .Jim was a lovely man , always asking if I'm okay . I booked this last minute when I couldn't get a stay in premier inn . Beautiful sea view ,very comfy bed and really tasty breakfast. All in all very happy to have stayed here . Feels like home away from home . Hope it gets all the good reviews it deserves! Also not far from beach front and the station. 10-15 min walk
First ever B&B been to. Went to a Scooter concert & Premier Inn wanted £275 for one night. This is a 15 min walk away from Dreamland. The host was very freindly & it’s a help yourself English breakfast which the owner keeps fresh. Nice room with comfy bed & tv.
Loved this place had the best night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Our host was hospitable and very friendly, and the house is in a prine location away from the noisy centre but close enough to walk into with lots of great bars and cafes very nearby. Would recommend to anyone seeking a few nights away in Margate
Had a fantastic stay at Shenandoah House. Jim was a 5 star host, so friendly and accommodating and even went out of his way to help us get our train on time! He was great with the little one and the dog and always made sure we had what we needed. The family room was comfortable and clean the beds are cosy and the small fridge was really useful. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we saved time following Jim’s suggestions of where to visit. The breakfast was delicious…even for our daughter who’s a fussy eater! Would definitely stay here again!
We were really glad we chose this location, so close to the beach but not the main beach. Walks along the seafront were nice and we were within easy reach of the old town etc. The host was fab, was great with the kids and accommodated our dietary requirements nicely. I enjoyed the fresh produce daily from the garden at breakfast. Nice touch. The vibe of the guest house was nice and relaxed. The Room had everything we needed, including a fridge which was so helpful. Shower was great. I've not given it the full 5 stars as the double mattress was dipping a bit in the middle and the cleaning of the bathroom could have been a little more thorough. These things didn't negatively affect the stay though, as I thought it was good value for money all in all. If you have a family, this is most definitely a good option to go for.
